Located between Burie, the capital of Pineau, and the
birthplace of François 1st, Cognac, Mesnac is an authentic
and pretty village in the middle of the Charentaise countryside. Following
a decree of 1st May 1909, the Cognac appellation was created in the region
of the two Charentes, divided into six listed and marked out crus.
One of the region's main activities being Cognac, it seems
a natural choice to visit a distillery when passing through. You will
find it nestling in the Borderies area, which is a cru recognised
by professionals as the most floral. With its rich historical past, the
Cognac region has many interesting sights and monuments. The Château
de Mesnac at the heart of the estate is a solid 18th century residence.
